Refresh Your Skills. Regain Your Confidence
Whether you're returning to driving after time away, recovering from injury, medical condition or preparing for the DMV Road Test, Turn Signal Driving School offers supportive, individualized instruction to help you feel safe and confident behind the wheel. Driver Refresher Sessions are 90 minutes in length and available 7 days a week. DMV Road Test Preparation is 60 minutes in length and available 7 days a week.
Refresher Sessions
Ideal for licensed drivers who haven’t driven in a while or who are returning to driving after:
- Injury, surgery, hospital admission, post-rehab recovery or a fall
- A medical event such as a stroke
- License suspension (with a Special Instruction Permit, or SIP)
We'll guide you through DMV procedures, help refine your skills, correct unsafe habits, and provide defensive driving tips. Our 90-minute sessions include personalized coaching and you may be assigned homework geared to build upon your situational awareness skills. If this is recommended, you will be granted access to an online interactive video learning platform. If needed, we offer a digital tablet loan with a security deposit and provide training on how to use the tools.
We will know at the end of your first driver refresher session, if you need additional sessions and approximately how many. Each session includes verbal and written feedback.
Our instructors are certified traffic safety professionals trained to work with older adults, medically at-risk drivers, and those needing additional reassurance or support.
